The data displays the proportion of cashless transactions in selected countries worldwide in 2015. Non-cash payments accounted for only 1% of payments in Greece, whilst 61% of transactions were cashless in Singapore.
Card payments have been on the rise in North America. In 2014, 71% of all cashless payments in that region were made using a card. American consumers would like to see guaranteed protection against fraud and hackers before they would consider paying with their cell phones in the future.
