The data depicts the total share of active credit card accounts in the UK from January 2016 to July 2018. The total number of active credit card accounts during the period under observation ranged from over 34 million to around 35 million accounts. It can be seen that the total share of active credit card accounts in the UK fluctuated slightly during this period, reaching a total of approx. 68.5% of all accounts as of July 2018. The biggest percentage of active accounts recorded during this period was found in October and November 2017, when a total share of 68.
