The data depicts the amount of private equity funds raised in selected European countries as of 2016. Private equity is the OTC provision of equity capital through private or institutional investments with the participation of companies in another company for a limited time in order to generate financial benefits. It can be seen that in 2016, the private equity funds raised in the UK amounted to more than 14.6 billion euro. France and Germany completed the top three, with approx. 14.1 billion euro and 4.9 billion euro respectively.
