Annual DAX performance 1996-2017

The data describes the annual development of the DAX index from 1996 to 2017. The DAX (Deutscher Aktienindex) is the most important German stock index, showing the value trends of the 30 biggest and most liquid companies listed on the Frankfurt stock exchange. The DAX index was introduced on July 1, 1988 and is a continuation of the Börsen-Zeitung Index, established in 1959. The year-end value of the DAX index amounted to 12,917.64 in 2017.
