Number of investment funds in Luxembourg 2006-2017, by type of fund

The data displays the total number of investment funds in Luxembourg from 2006 to 2017, by type of fund. At the end of 2017, the number of investment funds reached a total of 4,044, with approx. 1,441 of these being stand-alone funds. This is a decrease of the total number compared to 2015.

Luxembourg's fund industry is one of the biggest in Europe. In 2016, for example, the total value of investments in private equity companies in Luxembourg amounted to approx. 465 million euro.
