The data shows the distribution of long-term care service users by provider type and by gender within the U.S. in 2013 and 2014. In the U.S., women accounted for 62.1% of all home health agency users. Long-term care services account for a variety of services such as health, personal care, and supportive services dedicated to frail older people and adults with a limited capacity for self-care in cases such as injury or mental disability.
