Long-term care services users in the United States by provider and age 2013-2014

The data shows a percent distribution of U.S. users of long-term care services by provider type and by age group in 2013 and 2014. In the U.S., persons aged 85 years and older accounted for 26% of people being cared for by home health agency services. Long-term care services account for a variety of services such as health, personal care, and supportive services dedicated to frail older people and adults with a limited capacity for self-care in cases such as injury or mental disability.
