In Americans over the age of 65, almost 70% will require long-term care. As the U.S. senior population grows, there will be increased pressure on the quantity and quality of long-term health care facilities. As of 2015, Brookdale Senior Living was the biggest assisted living chain in the U.S. with approx. 993 such facilities.
