The data displays the birth rate in the UK from 2000 to 2016. Birth rate is defined as the amount of live births per 1,000 populations. The overall trend was one of increase. There were however a number of year on year decreases. Particularly, 2000 to 2002 (a drop of 0.3), 2008 to 2009 (a drop of 0.5) and 2012 to 2016 (a drop of 1).
