The data shows the total production forecast of all categories of rare earths in China from 1990 to 2050, with actual figures for the period between 1995 and 2010 for mixed rare earths and ion-absorbed rare earths, and between 2000 and 2010 for bastnasite rare earths. Using the Generalized Weng model, it was calculated that China's total rare earth production in 1990 was approx. 7,638.72 tons. It is forecast that by 2050 the combined rare earths production in China will be some 67,378.55 tons.
