Global number of organ transplantations 2015

The data shows the estimated number of organ transplantations globally in 2015. During this year, there were an estimated 2,299 pancreas transplants worldwide. It is assumed that with this number less than 10% of global needs were satisfied. Organ donation can be given through both a deceased and living donor if blood and oxygen are flowing through the organs until the time of recovery to ensure viability.
