Total global liver transplants by region 2015

The data shows the estimated number of liver transplants globally in 2015, distributed by region. During that year, there were an estimated 4,853 liver transplants in the Western Pacific region. Organ donation can be given through both a deceased and living donor if blood and oxygen are flowing through the organs until the time of recovery to ensure viability. In 2015, there were a total of approx. 126,670 organ transplantations worldwide, the majority of which were kidney transplantations.
