Number of U.S. candidates on organ waiting list by ethnicity 2017

The data shows the number of candidates on organ donation waiting list in the U.S., as of October 24, 2017, by ethnicity. During this time, there were 24, 247 Hispanic candidates on the organ waiting list in the country. Organ donation can be given through both a deceased and living donor if blood and oxygen are flowing through the organs until the time of recovery to ensure viability. There are over 120,000 people in the country waiting for an organ transplant.
