This survey displays the distribution of United States medical practices by size as of 2016. During this year, 21.4% of surveyed physicians belonged to practices with 2 to 5 physicians. Some 20% of physicians in the United States worked at a site with 101 or more physicians. The average age of surveyed physicians was 50.32.
