U.S. students driving a car after drinking alcohol by gender and grade 2017

The data displays the share of American students in grades 9 to 12 who stated that they drove a car or other vehicle when they had been drinking alcohol in 2017, by gender and grade. The survey covers only instances which had taken place on one or more occasions during the 30 days before the survey was conducted. Around 4% of male ninth graders stated they had been driving a car or other vehicle when they had been drinking alcohol.
