The data shows the prevalence of arthritis-attributable activity limitations among adults in the U.S. from 2013 to 2015 that have a form of doctor-diagnosed arthritis, by gender. From 2013 to 2015, 38.5% of male adult respondents said that they have an activity limitation due to their arthritis, while 43.8% of female respondents indicated that they had an activity limitation due to their arthritis. Arthritis is a leading cause of disability and a common chronic condition in the U.S. Common forms of arthritis include osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, gout and fibromyalgia.
