The data displays the rate of suicide deaths in the United States among residents aged 10 years and older from 2001 to 2015, by method and urbanization level. According to the data, during this period there were around 5.39 suicide deaths from firearms per 100,000 population in large metropolitan areas, compared to a rate 10.53 firearm suicide deaths per 100,000 population in rural areas.
