The data shows the percentage of U.S. women aged 21 to 65 who had received a cervical cancer screening within recommended time frames, by health care coverage. About 86.6 % of respondents with private health insurance reported that they had received a cervical cancer screening within the recommended time frames, while 63.8% of respondents that were uninsured reported that they had received a cervical cancer screening within the recommended time frames. The CDC recommends cervical cancer screenings for women of average-risk every three years for those age 21 to 29 or every three to five years for those aged 30 to 65, depending on type of testing preformed.
