The data displays the Purchasing Managers' Index (PMI) in Brazil from July 2017 to July 2018. An indicator of the economic health of the manufacturing sector, the Purchasing Managers' Index is based on five major indicators: new orders, inventory levels, production, supplier deliveries and the employment environment. An index value above 50% indicates a positive development in the industrial sector, whereas a value below 50% indicates a negative situation. In July 2018, the value of the Purchasing Managers' Index in Brazil stood at 50.
