The data displays the number of LEED-registered projects in the U.S. from 2000 to 2017. As of October 2017, some 65,427 projects LEED were registered. There are four levels of LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certification, each one requiring a certain number of credits in the core categories, including materials and resources, water efficiency, sustainable sites, energy and atmosphere, innovation in design, indoor environmental quality and regional priority.
