The data displays the total number of houses sold in the Netherlands from 1995 to 2017, by province. In 2016, the total number of houses sold in the Netherlands more than 241,000, of which approx. 19,000 were sold in the province of Utrecht.
The European housing, or residential real estate, market has recently shown clear signs of recovery, with an increasing house price being the main trend. In recent years, the housing market has continued to rise in the Netherlands due to low mortgage rates, a recovering economy and a high level of consumer confidence.
