The data displays the Economic Sentiment Indicator (ESI) of Belgium, Luxembourg, and the Netherlands from July 2017 to July 2018. The Economic Sentiment Indicator (ESI) characterizes the general economic situation in a defined period. It is a combination of five different confidence indicators, each with its own different weights:
Industrial confidence indicator;Services confidence indicator;Consumer confidence indicator;Construction confidence indicator;Retail trade confidence indicator.These indicators are designed to show how optimistic or pessimistic a group feels about the general market or certain business environments and how various factors, such as unemployment or inflation, affect future behavior.
