The Economic Sentiment Indicator (ESI) characterizes the general economic situation in a defined period. It is a combination of five different confidence indicators, each with its own different weights:
Industrial confidence indicator;Services confidence indicator;Consumer confidence indicator;Construction confidence indicator;Retail trade confidence indicator.These indicators are designed to show how optimistic or pessimistic a group feels about the general market or certain business environments and how various factors, such as unemployment or inflation, affect future behavior.
