The data displays the forecast of the percentage change on the previous year of the total mortgage value in the Netherlands from 2016 to 2019. In 2018, the value of mortgages are expected to increase with approx. 4% compared to the year before. In recent years, the housing market has continued to rise in the Netherlands due the asset purchase programme (APP) of the European Central Bank and the, consequently, low mortgage rates. For example, the number of registered transactions reached a value of approx. 215,000 in 2016.
