The data displays the number of active companies in the construction industry in the Netherlands from 2007 to 2016. As of 2016, the number of active construction companies reached a total number of approx. 175,600, over 5,000 companies more than in 2015. When comparing 2016 to 2007, the number of active construction companies rose by nearly 40,000. Since 2007, the number of active companies in this sector in the Netherlands has grown consistently every year. Like the rest of Europe, the construction sector in the Benelux struggles to keep up with the high demand.
