Value of building permits issued in the Netherlands 2006-2016, by type of housing

The data displays the total value of building permits issued for the construction of new residential and commercial real estate in the Netherlands from 2006 to 2016. In 2008, the value of permits for residential real estate reached approx. 12 billion euro. Subsequently, this decreased to 3.4 billion euro in 2013. In 2016, that number rose to 6.5 billion euro. Commercial real estate, on the other hand, reached a total value of 8.2 billion euro in 2008 and decreased to 3.2 billion euro in 2016.
