The data displays the average transaction price of dwellings in selected cities compared to the country average in Belgium and the Netherlands in 2016. In 2016, the average transaction price of a house in Amsterdam was almost twice as high as the national average in the Netherlands.
In the second quarter of 2017, the average housing rent in the Netherlands increased to reach a value of 14,85 euros per square meter whilst the average rent in the city of Amsterdam reached a value of approx. 22 euros per square meter.
