The data displays the budget balance in relation to GDP of the ASEAN countries in Asia between 2008 and 2016, with projections up until 2018. The ASEAN (Association of Southeast Asian Nations) countries are Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam. A positive value indicates a budget surplus, a negative value indicates a deficit. In 2016, Indonesia's deficit amounted to around 2.49% of GDP.
