The data describes information on the number of Twitter users in the U.S. as of February 2016, sorted by age group. During the survey period it was found that 12.4 million U.S. Twitter users were between 25 and 34 years old. The total Twitter audience in the U.S. amounted to 56.8 million users.
In the beginning of 2015, microblogging platform Twitter surpassed 300 million monthly active users and is one of the most popular social networks worldwide. Currently, Asia and North America represent the largest user share but experts project that in 2018, Twitter’s user base will be predominantly located in Asia.
