The data displays the presence or absence of economic impact in the cyberattacks carried out in Italy in 2016, by type. A cyberattack is deliberate exploitation of computer systems, technology-dependent enterprises and networks. Cyberattacks use malicious code to alter computer code, logic or data, resulting in disruptive consequences that can compromise data and lead to cybercrimes, such as information and identity theft. During the survey period, it was found that over 40% of respondents suffered no economic impact due to the attacks.
