The data shows the results of a survey on the distribution of recipients of reports about cyberattacks made by companies in Italy in 2016. A cyberattack is deliberate exploitation of computer systems, technology-dependent enterprises and networks. Cyberattacks use malicious code to alter computer code, logic or data, resulting in disruptive consequences that can compromise data and lead to cybercrimes, such as information and identity theft. During the survey period, it was found that 15% of the respondents reported that they sent a communication to security authorities.
