Global fertilizer demand by nutrient 2011-2018

The data shows the global demand for fertilizer by nutrient from 2011/2012 to 2017/2018. In 2017/2018, the total global demand for fertilizers is expected to reach some 189 million metric tons. Increasing crop prices lead to increased fertilizer demands and has been especially noted in recent years in South Asia. Favorable weather also increases demand for fertilizers in major agricultural regions.
