The data shows a forecast of the internet user penetration rate in Germany from 2014 to 2021. In 2021, the share of monthly active internet users is projected to reach 82.62% of the total population. This would be an increase of over 3% from 79.53% in 2015. In absolute numbers this would mean approx. 65 million users by 2021 and an increase of 2.1 million users. The data presented was calculated in May 2016 and includes all who use the internet via any device.
The share of men who use the internet was 83% in 2015 and 7% larger than the usage share of woman.
