In the 1st quarter of 2016, roughly 41 million liters of Swedish strong beer and about 10 million liters of imported strong beer was sold. In the 4th quarter of 2017, the sales volume of domestic strong beer in the Swedish government-owned liquor stores had grown to approx. 53 million liters, while imported strong beer reached an amount of about 13 million liters.
