Overall, 89% of the adult U.S. population accessed the internet. Unfortunately, the possibility of suffering or witnessing online harassment is a very real threat in the 21st century. According to a July 2016 survey, most common types of online harassment witnessed and experienced by internet users in the United States include offensive name-calling, online embarrassment and physical threats.
