This chart shows the number of hate crimes in England and Wales from April 2015 to March 2017, sorted by offence type. The majority of hate crimes were recorded to be public order offences and hate crimes of violent nature featured as the second most common case. However, only roughly a third of those resulted in the victim becoming injured.
