This chart illustrates religiously motivated hate crimes sorted by region in England and Wales from April 2016 to March 2017. While the fewest racially motivated hate crimes were recorded in the North East and Wales, the most by a distance occurred in London. The subsequent highest figures were found in the North West, which recorded more than half of the number of crimes in London.
