The data depicts the number of religiously motivated hate crimes in England and Wales from April 2015 to March 2017, sorted by offence type. The highest numbers of hate crimes related to religion were public order offences and the subsequent lower number of crimes were recorded as violent crimes, of which only a fraction resulted in the victim's injury.
