The data shows the development of advertising expenditures in the European Union going on newspaper advertising from 2009 to 2016. In 2016, newspaper advertising spend in the EU 28 amounted to roughly 14.54 billion euro, a decrease compared to the previous year at approx. 15.6 billion euro. Newspaper ad spend fell from 22 billion euro in 2009.
