The data shows the production volume of organic crops in Finland from 2015 to 2017, by type. Over the period under survey, the cultivation of organic oats increased, amounting to nearly 60 million kilograms in 2017. The production volumes of organic mixed crops, barley, and potatoes also increased. Meanwhile, the production volumes of other organic crops such as wheat, turnip rape and peas decreased. In Finland, cold winters limit crop production potential but decrease the need for pesticides. Due to rainfall during summer months, irrigation is needed only occasionally.
