The data displays a ranking of the most successful countries in the Eurovision Song Contest based on the total number of victories as of 2018. Over the course of all Eurovision Song Contest competitions between 1956 and 2018, Ireland won first place a total of seven times, making it the most successful country participating in the ESC to date. Sweden and the UK followed with six and five wins, respectively.
