In 2011, 331 million CDs, CSs, LPs and digital albums were sold in the U.S, but this figure fell to just under 169 million in 2017. The best-selling music album in the U.S. in 2017 was Taylor Swift's 'reputation', which sold approx. 1.9 million units.
