The data displays the percentage of teenagers who play video games in the U.S. as of March 2015, broken down by age. It was found that 70% of the responding teens between the ages of 15 to 17 years said they played video games on their computers, consoles or cellphones. As far as the general U.S. population is concerned, NPD reported that the favorite video game genres based on share of sales in 2014 included action, shooter and sports games.
