The data shows a country-by-country breakdown of the number of diesel vehicles that were fitted with software designed to defeat emissions controls. As of October, 2015, Volkswagen confirmed that almost 11 million vehicles were affected by the scandal worldwide, around 2.8 million of which were sold to customers in Germany.
