The data shows the results of a survey, which investigated the opportunities and challenges of in-store deli/prepared food offerings. More than 2,500 U.S. shoppers were polled on what most inhibits them from buying prepared or deli foods in a local supermarket. The survey identified the price as main inhibiting factor, as 66% of respondents indicated that they feel prepared foods are too expensive.
