The data shows the export volume of Italian PGI (protected geographic indication) sparkling wines between the years 2010 and 2016. As of the survey period, the export volume of Italian sparkling wine hit its lower peak in 2011 with about 35.3 thousand hectoliters. However, from then on there was a slow increase in the export volume of sparkling wine which peaked in 2016 with over 130.5 thousand hectoliters exported in foreign countries.
