The data displays the production of tea from 2006 to 2016 worldwide, broken down by major producing countries. China produced approx. 2.35 million metric tons of tea in 2016, up from about 1.02 billion metric tons in 2006. Indonesia, India, China, Sri Lanka and Kenya were rated as the world’s biggest tea-exporting countries.
