Italy: repeaters in lower secondary schools 2014, by gender and region

The data displays the number of students who had to repeat a school year in lower secondary schools in Italy in 2014 by region and gender. Generally, the number of male students who had to repeat the year was higher compared to female in every region. In Lombardy, male students almost doubled the number of female students who had to repeat the year (almost 5,800 boys against around 2,900 girls).
