The data displays the number of people travelling on the London Underground (UK) between 2000/01 and 2017/18 and compares the number of season ticket holders with those travelling with other types of tickets or concessions. Before the recession, the number of season ticket holders was overtaking ordinary travelers. However, since then, season ticket numbers have fallen while ordinary ticket numbers have been quickly growing. In 2017/18, 980 million people travelled on the London Underground with ordinary tickets.
