The data displays the number of violent crime offences per 10,000 population in Northern Ireland from 2006/2007 to 2015/2016. Despite fluctuations, the rate of violent crime offences saw a net decrease of more than 66%. The peak of violent crime incidents was reported in 2006/2007 at 441 incidents per 10,000 households, dropping to the lowest point of 149 in the most recent surveyed period.
