In 2016, an employee in the urban regions of the Chinese Hebei province earned around 55,334 yuan per annum on average. The national average had reached about 67,569 yuan in 2016. Aside from regional discrepancies, the respective industry had a large influence on the average annual salary of employees in urban China. Employees in the financial sector of China earned about 117,000 yuan on average, whereas people employed in the agricultural sector had an average annual salary of about 34,000 yuan in 2015.
